500ml bottle. Its a gusher! Hazy dark brown pour, huge, massive beige head. Sweet bready malts, dark caramel and toffee, with some light maple notes with quite a bit of wood and earthy herbs. Surprisingly soft carb, and a thicker than expected mouth feel. The finish is herbal, quite sweet, caramel malts are upfront, touches of metal.

Odd aroma for the style. Lots of nuts, and some banana, reminds me of banana bread, with some roster malt and a touch of smoke. Flavor is much of the same but there is a prominent bitterness that is interesting. It’s really quite bitter and really sticks with you after the nutty breadiness. Interesting take on the style.

Bottle purchased in Quebec City. It was only available in bottles when i was at the brewpub, and drinking a 500ml of an 8.5% was a no go if i was driving. Dark amber pour, almost ruby in color. A nige full fluffy beige head. SHarp aroma of citrucyépiney hops, with some sweet malts in the foreground. Flavor is very malty, lots of sweet caramel malts, and an odd slaty gravy flavor going on near the finish. Then the hops kick in and leave you with a citric. bitter short finish. A decent effort for a brewery that seems to be attempting to get more adventurous. Not a great double IPA, but i give them an A for effort.

dark amber pour with a medium beige head. Aroma was very spicy, and sweet. Notes of random spices, honey, and some sweet yeasty aromas. Flavor was again quite sweet with a spicy finish. Interesting beer.

very dark amber pour, and i’ve got some floaters in my glass. Good lacing from the small off white head. Aroma of some roasted malt, and some sweet hops. Not what i was expecting from an IPA. HOnestly i don’t know if this is an off bottle but it’s more of a hoppy brown ale. There is a roasted character that i can’t shake. Lots of earthiness, weird IPA.

Great aroma of roasted malt, cocoa powder, and some hops. Flavor is full of coffee, cocoa, and roasted malt. The bitter toasty finish really reminds me of st ambroise. This a great stout.

on tap at the brewpub.
Loads of sweet grainy malts in the aroma, along with some sweet breadiness, and alcohol. The flavor is very bready, and rich. The malt stays all the way through. This is like drinking a loaf of sweet fruit cake. Interesting stuff. But only good for a sipper.

nice hoppy nose, and grains. Flavor is simple, and crisp. Some nice hops in the finish. A great refreshing beer for a lazy summer afternoon.

ok the description for this beer is wrong, its not an english red, the bottle says Houblons anglais, which means English Hops. This beer is very dark, almost brown, with amber hues. Small beige head that dosnt not last long. Flavor of roasted malt, and the english hops come through in the end. Some east kent goldings maybe, there is a slight spiciness from the hops. The finish is sweet, and bready as the malts come through. Not a bad amber.

Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma of corriander, wheat, and some sweet yeast. The flavor is dominated by the corriander with hints of lemon, and lots of grainy wheat.
