Opaque walnut black with a big brown head, that thickly laces the glass. Aroma combines roasty malts, chocolate mocha, and a bunch of hops. Very complex! Flavor shows coffee, chocolate malts, and nice hop bitterness.

A pale orange beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is rather sweet and malty with a touch of alcohol. The flavor is very sweet and malty and again with the alcohol shining thru, leading to a dry bitter and alcoholic end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, fully golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose with some alcohol shining through. Solid body with lots of sweetish pilsener malt and a sophisticated - almost perfumy - edge. Discreet, hoppy finish. Very clean and true to style Maibock. 150506

Quite a full body, sweetish with loads of caramel and a very warming alcohol. Hoppy indeed, but quite a harmonious hoppiness. A pleasant Barleywine, but not amongst the greatest of its style. 220406
