Bottle at home in London - sourced from BottleDog. Pours crystal clear, copper-gold with a thick, foamy off-white head. Toasted caramel aroma with notes of grass, pine, orange peel, grainy malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with tasty, toasty bread, husky grains and cereal, bitter grass, some leaves, earth, rindy citrus, touches of marmalade. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, with rounded bready sweetness, further accents of grain and toffee, moderate piney bitterness, some more leaves and grass, ripe citrus fruits, a little jam. This one grew on me. The bitterness was a little too assertive at first, but by the end the sweetness had caught up and it became highly drinkable.

Bottle. Nose is grapefruit, lime , boiled sweets, slight sulphur, slight passionfruit. Taste is lots of bitter grapefruit, grapefruit rind, lime, hint of anise and mint, leading to a softer banana and a hint of wheat. Mouthfeel is slick. This didn’t work for me. The hops dominated the wheat, and it was disjointed, if felt more like an IPA tipped into a wheat beer than anything else.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras drunk at home. a bit of bovril on the aroma. Quite hoppy for a porter. Some chocolate later. Over carbonated doesn’t help with this carbonic bite. Odd porter. Hmmm. A little soy sauce and carbonic acid. The least impressive of the Cloudwater?s beers I’ve had.

Cloudy orange beer with a white bubbly head. Smells bready and of tart fruit. Flavour is hop, citrus and a sweetish banana hit which mellows it out a touch but the taste on the whole is really sharp. It doesn’t do anything you wouldn’t expect of a wheat beer but it does it really well.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear light copper/brown pour with a frothy beige head, aroma has pine nuts and some red fruits, taste is bursting with fresh pine, a hint of toffee, red fruits, a nutty finish. I’m starting to like these hopped up browns.
