This was served in a pint glass at the brewpub.
The appearance was a black color with a slim bar pour’s kind of white to off white foamy head that quickly dissipated leaving some light clingy lacing.
The smell had a graceful blend of roasted coffee notes with a rich sweet chocolate.
The taste came across through the roasty notes. A slight roasty aftertaste leads to the same finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Rich smooth creamy roasty coffee and chocolate graces my tongue very nicely.
Overall, this was my favorite beer from this brewery. Definitely have again.

This was on tap at Barrington. This was served in a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to ruddy yellow color. Light carbonation rose to feed a quickly dissipating bar pour’s kind of head.
The smell had a decent sweet biscuity maltiness and a slight underscore of spice.
The taste was mainly malty taking the biscuity quality to town as the aftertaste was quite malty.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a smooth creaminess that rolled over my tongue.
Overall, to me, this one came across more as an EIPA to me. Still worthy of coming back to.

The appearance was a nice looking pale to hazy burnt orange color with a slight transparency running about it. A film of light white head glazes over the top of the beer.
The smell had some pale English malts.
The taste copied and carried into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation comes across fairly smooth and assists in leaving a fairly simple creamy coating over my tongue.
Overall, the more I think about it, I’d say this was more of an English Pale Ale than an American one. I’d probably still would have again.

Bottle picked up at Package Plaza in Great Barrington. Pours rich brown with a foamy tan head. The nose holds some well toasted bread, dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with some sugary brown bread, more rich berries, a bit of toffee, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with some buttery toffee, slight diacetyl, more berries and brown bread. Quite tasty overall.

Bottle at home in Salisbury - picked up at Nejaime’s in Stockbridge, MA. Pours clear gold with a mellow, creamy white head. Simple aroma of bready pale malts, light toast and dough, accents of maple. Light-medium sweet flavor with minimal bitterness, lots of lightly sugary bread, mild maple syrup touches, hints of hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderate sweetness to finish, further bready malts and soft maple syrup character. Tasty and not at all cloying but a bit simplistic overall.

Bottle in NH - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear copper with a moderate, frothy white cap. The nose has some dried orange, a bit of pine and leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with lightly toasted malts, faint toffee, mellow piney bitterness, further leaves. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced to finish, good dry and lightly toasted bread, light bitter pine, faint grass, leaves. Well balanced, very drinkable.

Cask at the brewpub - Great Barrington. Pours clear yellow with a fine, creamy white head. Moderate raspberry aroma, touches of white grape. Light sweet flavor with cereal, straw, slight butter, drying raspberry. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweetness to finish, further mellow raspberry character, corn flakes, hay. So so.

Light sweet flavor with dirty, leafy bitterness, husky grains, hints of ripe orange. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Reasonably well balanced on the finish, further bready malts and leafy bitterness. Decent take on the style.

Cask at the brewpub - Great Barrington. Pours clear, rich gold with a lasting, off-white cream head. The aroma holds some bready malts, light cake, pine, toffee. Light to medium sweet flavor with with lightly gritty pine, dirty leaves, dry caramel, faint grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light oily and resinous hops in the finish, touches of toffee, lightly toasted bread, pine. Fair.
