The Beer Store, Toronto 500ml can ($2.50ish): Pours a bubbly orange color with minimal head. Aroma is light malt liquor smell, sweet corn, and a hint of le booze. Taste is much the same, but this one is actually fairly well-balanced and inoffensive. I could easily drink a few of these, but I would certainly dread the ensuing hangover. Not bad for a Malt Liquor.

The Beer Store 473ml can: Pours a golden color with an OK looking white head. Aroma is pale malt and some sugar. Taste is way better than I was expecting. Light and it goes down very smoothly. Inoffensive and uncomplex, but perfectly drinkable.

12oz bottle poured into an English Pint. Pours dark with about 2 fingers of dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and grass. Taste is about the same. Overall, not bad. I think I dig this more than regular Guinness Draught.

Found at an Iqaluit supermarket - possibly the only time such a thing would happen! Has a very light seven-up yellow body with heavy carbonation and very little head. Aroma is bad lager instead of bready non-alc, so it gets a point for that. Flavour is light water with a hint of bread and sourness, overpowered by heavy carbonation. This isn’t the worst non-alc I’ve tried - that’s about all I can say that’s positive about it.

Originally rated June 2005. Lively carbonation and golden in colour. Decent foam head dissipates quickly, but leaves sticky lace. Good, surprising, amount of malty aroma. Watery mouthfeel and carbonated. Flavour is very dull, not much there, except some slight sweet malt in the finish. Not a very good low carb brew, in the same boat as Sleeman’s Clear. If you want a better, mass-produced low carb beer, try Molson Ultra. That one has taste at least.

Originally rated June 2005. Been wanting to try this brew for quite a while now. Always reminded me of a trashy beer. Pours a golden colour with average carbonation. Decent head, but does not last long. Sweet malt nose and same goes for the mouth. Slight bitterness in there. Not bad swill, but probably is some other brew the Labatt’s makes and puts it in these bottles.

Originally rated July 2005. Old-timer-beer-gone-popular-again-with-the-young-crowd. Pours a golden colour with a small white head and medium retention. The carbonation is active and the lacing is minimal. The nose is strong with bitterness and has a mild scent of malt thrown in there. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. The taste is pretty mild with grain malt and light bitterness. Goes down very well. This is the go-to beer I usually take when I go in bars, and has a better hop finish than all other macros found. One of Labatt’s better products for sure (and I still drink it regularly nowadays in 2012).

Canette 473ml. De couleur dorée et claire. Nez de maïs sucré et de grains de malt pâle, légèrement métallique et de sucre chimique avec des traces de houblon herbeux. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture léger-moyen sirupeuse. Goût de grains de malt pâle sucrés accompagné de notes sucre chimique lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de maïs sucré pusi en fin ale l’on retrouve un léger goût d’alcool métallique avec des petites notes amères de houblon herbeux (gazon mouillé). Post-goût moyen-court, composé d’un léger goût d’alcool métallique avec des traces de houblon herbeux.
