Bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Autumn Gathering 2025. Pitch black pour, large beige head. Good chocolatey undercurrent.. really pleasant stout overall, subtle roast, good malt layers.. lovely

Bottle at BBGG. Very dark brown with big tan head. Sweet malts, earthy, red wine, dry oak, a touch of funk, vanilla, marzipan, chocolate. Medium sweet and bitter, very light sour. Solid medium bodied.

Bouteille 50cl, BB 06/2029.
Brune foncée, col crémeux blanc-cassé présent une belle tenue.
Arôme sur un malté renforcé – caramel, chocolaté, crysal le tout sous couvert d’un appui de fruits noirs – entre myrtilles, mûres et un savoureux bouquet de barrique qui rend un effluve vanillé léger, et une petite sensation épicée en support.
Palais sur un malt pâle/caramel tenace et renforcé par un délicat apport chocolaté – le tout reprend un peu une base de la BigMama. Notes de fruits noirs en support. Cette mise en barrique de whisky Français venant du Pas-de-Calais accompagne parfaitement la base de ce gros stout. Je ressens un côté cacao, fruits noirs rappelant la mûre, et une petite pointe vanillée du whisky – biscuité, cookie dough voire même une petite touche anisée en fin de bouche.

0.33l bottle from Beergium. Aroma is vinous and musty with blackberry note. Pours murky mahogany color with thin creamy tan-like head, yeast residue and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous and berry-like, follows by tannins and cereals, mouthfeel is smooth but rather dry, while finish is mild bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Acid dreams…

Bottle at Le Bier Circus, Brussels on 30th January 2025. Copper with shallow yellowy white foam and pattern lacing. Rich malty aroma. Tangy fruits burst in mouth and a fruity finish. Zingy mouthfeel and a fair amount of body.

0.33l bottle. Opaque copper body with a lasting white head. Aroma of bread crust, grape must, barnyard notes, pepper and lemon juice. The taste starts sour like yoghurt and lemon juice, then it shows notes of bready malts and a bit of grapes and grapefruit. Medium body with medium carbonation. Decent beer.

Bouteille 50cl @ BXLBeerFest’24. Je comprends que cette version sort avec un peu de retard, un an, le goût étant trop sur le soufre, il aura fallu laisser reposer tout cela.
Couleur finement acajou, col fin blanc-cassé, légèrement rosé.
Arôme sur un bouquet vineux ; raison, note de funk, raisins pressés, minéralité avec un apport du pressage du jus du marc de raisin – petite note poivrée voire même de cannelle.
Palais présente une belle approche au niveau du vin – Pinot Noir avec un léger caractère fruité, épicé sur une base de l’Acid Junk.
