This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a transparent yellow color with a rapidly rising carbonation.
The smell started off with tart apples, semi-sweet yet crisp and developing into a sour to \"hop\" oil spice (Nelson Sauvin hops, I guess did that).
The taste was sweet, sour and had a decent kick of spice in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation hits appropriately as a cider and allows the Nelson Sauvin hops give off a sly oily effect rolling over my tongue.
Overall, different for a cider, would probably be a decent crossover for beer fans. Think I would come back to this.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a clear yellow color with the carbonation rising at a rapid rate.
The smell started off with a sharp tangy to semi-sweet apple.
The taste copied the smell and had no aftertaste nor finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a clear sessionability about it. Carbonation was felt, semi-sharp, but not overbearing.
Overall, standard cider, nothing over the top, do-able.

750 mL bottle from Winooski Beverage. Clear pale golden, thin fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of dry apples, earth, mild tannins and leather. The taste is dry tart apples, vanilla, earth. Medium bodied, spritzy high carbonation, champagne-like. Nice.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fruity with a medium apple note and a strong hop character. Lots of white wine and melon with lighter citrus and tropical fruit. A light herbal note. Pours a clear, pale, yellow hay color with a small, thin, effervescent, white head that quickly recedes. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is much more apple forward with a balance between sweet cider and some tart green apples and tannic acid. Medium light hop notes, again with white wine, melon and tropical fruit being most prevalent. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really interesting and nice cider. If you like Nelson Sauvin hops you will like this cider. Good green apple character too. Not very sweet.

Mini cask poured at Citizen Cider. The color is an amber/ burnt orange type color. Aroma and flavor is identical in every aspect. Oak is right up front with notes of caramel candy and a lightly syrupy texture over the palate. The oak gives earthy tones over apples and pears. Sweet but pretty good.

From a 375 ml bottle at the Citizen Cider. Aroma of apples, alcohol, light spices, caramel, and sugar. Taste is extremely sweet with apples, caramel, fruity notes and a mild warming alcohol finish after the swallow. Medium body with an intense sugar finish, overly sweet.

Draft at the Citizen Cider. Very pale yellow in color with a bold red apple aroma tones of honey? Kind of like a mead/ cider hybrid going on here. The flavor is slightly more earthy and the honey must be real light because it does not show a great deal of honey flavors. It does end sweet. Well, that is different.

Draft at the Citizen. Hazy gold in color with this lasting head. Aroma is mild Belgian yeast and lemons mixed with apples. Flavor shows a mild yeast character with the lemons and apples through the center of the cider. The finish has a light spice hint with a crisp aftertaste; it is similar to a Wit bier. Could be a nice gateway cider into other ciders or Belgian beers.

Draft @ Citizen. Almost completely clear with a high carbonation level. Wow, this flavor has more than apples going on. Cranberry, pear, and raspberry like tones. Very effervescent mouthfeel, very bubbly. Real refreshing and a great idea behind the cider.
