Pours a hazy light-golden colour with loads of yeast floating through it. White cap, decent retention and some lacing. A little of their typical infected brew aromas with sourness, but not as bad as the honey helps. It shows a little more in the taste, but the honey adds a little sweetness to calm it. The flavours finish quickly though. Not as bad as it sounds. Gets better as you drink it. Easy to drink overall, but nothing to crazy. Seems like maple lingers after a while. Even apples. Cool.

Been a while since I reviewed a Schoune (as I do not have a great thing for them). Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a warm cap, decent retention and creamy lace. The Belgian ale yeast seems to be on the maple aroma-side with lots of oranges and hints of raisins. Lots of oranges in the taste as well with some crappy hops. Not really the style it says. Reminds me of their other brews. Always hit and miss. Mostly misses. Not the worst, but nothing really awesome.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light cacao notes with dry roasted malt and light fruity ester. Taste is also dominated by cacao notes with roasted malt and light dry finish. Body is super thin with great carbonation. Definitely short on body and complexity while Belgian stout mix does not work very well here.

Bottle: Poured a hazy pale yellow color ale with a nice foamy white head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light bubble gum wheat notes with some coriander notes. Taste is also dominated by wheat malt with some coriander notes with some light residual sugar notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Not bad but really nothing special either.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light honey notes with light fruity ester is enjoyable enough. Taste is dominated by floral honey notes with limited character. Body is lighter than average with good carbonation. Not bad by any measure but just falls short in terms of complexity.

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thick onctuous frothy mocha head. In aroma, loads of ground cherry, lactic acid, light Brett, cherry halls, beautiful. In mouth, a sour puckering ale with lactic and acetic acidity, ground cherries, Epsom salts, very nice, like Rodenbach Grand Cru.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright yellow color lambic with a sizeable head which is very bubbly and has limited retention. Aroma of paint thinner and passion fruit syrup is quite horrible. Taste is also dominated by paint thinner with some light passion fruit notes with weird funky notes also discernable. Body is pretty light with good carbonation. Incredibly pricey for such a mess.

Bottle @ the rake dungeon. Thanks to my Secret Krampus for sending! Pours slightly hazy golden yellow appearance with an off white head. Kind of smells like shit. Some sour candy and bubble gum in the nose along with a little bit of spice. Twangy, tart flavor. Grassy and spicy. Not good at all.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep copper color ale with a large bubbly head that disappeared way too quickly. Aroma of residual sugar, some bourbon notes and grainy malt is somewhat off-balance. Taste is also a mix of residual sugar notes with some quite strong bourbon notes with grainy malt notes that more or less don’t work well together. Body is light with good carbonation. Good brewing idea but end product is a bit messy.

Bottle: Poured a bright pale yellow color ale with a large pure white bubbly head with OK retention and some small traces of lacing. Aroma consists of paint thinner is quite strong with light funky notes and some fresh pear notes. Taste is quiet atrocious with dominant paint thinner notes with light fresh pear notes with light funky finish. Body is light with god carbonation. I can’t believe how close to paint thinner this beer tasted like.
