Another schoune gong show of a beer. A soured infected mess. It gushed from the bottle like a volcano and the aroma was sour vinegar malts. The flavour was more of the same. I should have kept it for salad dressing, but i dumped it.

Hazy, muddy copper/brown pour, with a murky beige head. Tangy pear aroma, some apple, and odd phenolic brown sugar booziness. The finish is wet paper, Tangy fruit, and that odd brown sugar thing again.... Good god this was odd.

Bottle 2006 vintage.
Hazy copper pour, tiny, minimal white head. Aroma is funky dirty socks, white vinegar, and musty apples. Carb is non existant, beer is flat, mouth feel is watery. Finish is quite sour, light barnyard flavours, some wet hay, and a mouth puckering white vingar finish. Whoa, this is rough. Save your taste buds, make salad dressing out of this.

Pale golden pour with a crap load if floaters. soapy, Apple aroma with boozy yeast. Thin mouth feel, and a very over active carb. The finish is sweet with big notes of Apple and cheap grains.

Aroma of sour roasted malt, and that’s pretty much it. Flavor is wattery and thin with hints of roasted malt and some more sourness. Bottle must have been off, but really, who knows with la schoune!

Sweet/sour aroma of cocoa, and burnt malt. Flavor is loaded with metal, sour cocoa and more burnt malt. This bottle must have been off, mind you by looking at the other ratings...... Maybe not.

Well this is crap.
Smells and tastes like a sour belgian blonde ale. There are not grassy musty notes to speak of. Its kinda sweet, and cloying. This brewery is known for infected beer, and well i think this was. just bad.

very dark pour, looks kinda thin actually. nose is roasty, with a slight sour funk. flavour is VERY roasty, and that sour funk is comming through again, with a alcohol finish. As this warms up the funk seems to go away, not too bad a beer. But definitely not an impy stout.

Old rating from 2007 - 330ml bottle, gift from a Quebec friend who visited Jersey. Pours caramel colour with a foamy white head. Aromas & tastes of maple syrup, wood, caramel & malt. Medium body. Sweet finish

Sometimes being an OG brewery isn't always a good thing. Haven't had their beers in over 13 years and not much has changed.

Watery and malty with next to no spices....boring and uninspired.
