2006 version ( with a black label, very inspired on the girardin label ) obtained in a trade! Pours bit unclear, amber. Small white head doesnt last very long. Smell is woody, bit acitic, phenolic, rather weak in general. Taste is bit tart, woody, very mild funk. in general, weak in flavor. Not bad tho, just … Weak.

Thank a lot to Kermis! Large bottle sampled. Orange golden. Some vinegar in the nose, lemon, rotting orange, lambiek-esque but bad lambiek with vinegar & rotting fruit. Taste is bit less lambiek with more sour plastic, lemon, watery, sour lemon, orange rind,… Watery plastic body. Bad as expected but not horribly bad. Calling this geuze is sad.

Thnx to François !!! Pours unclear amberblonde. Small head is extremely unstable. Gone within a second. Smell is full, dry, tad tart, mild sugary aroma. Taste is weird. Not the gentle balance you expect in a faro. Shows signs of oxidation, and a sweetness I'd more pair with that ( think of honey, earthy, apples, yes even some mild cardboard). Mild herbal like, earthyness I never experienced in a faro. More tart than sweet, for sure. Wouldn't even call it sweet, actually. Somewhat 'rotten' tho. It feels off, but not in a way I experienced before. Maybe they used a different kind of sugar than what I'm used to in a faro? (note to self, yes, maple sugar rather than the common used candy sugar) not my favorite faro....
