Can from the LCBO. Hazy pale yellow with a one finger white head that recedes slowly. Nose is banana and wheat with cloves and yeast and a slight citrus background. Lightly sweet fruitiness with an equally light bitterness and a pervasive hint of spice. Slightly thin mouth with soft carbonation. This combination is more interesting than I thought it would be.

First one I had of these, was drank in the can and it reacked of corn. Second one in a can, pours a clean golden colour with a froty warm cap, good retention and lacing. Smells pretty close to a Pils at first pour, but after a bit, almost Belgian yeast with a mix of malt and corn. Again, this mix appears in the taste with hints of spices from the hops. Much better from the glass and slightly colder. Still prefer their other non-Pilsner brew.

Super hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a definite orange glow and a ridiculously large and microfoamed five centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking indeed. Aroma of alcohol, cardboard, pale malt, hop pellets, earth, funk and a bit of stale malt - odd. Medium-bodied; Chewy cereal and grain flavours of malt at first with a bit of a cardboard bite and some stale hop flavours showing only a touch of citrus flavours and not much else. Aftertaste shows a little cardboard and cereal flavour from the malt with a bit of alcohol bite and not much else - fairly mild and not inspired. Overall, a pretty dull beer with no hop flavours, no depth in flavours or complexity and just a stale malt flavour. I sampled this 625 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Sauveurs in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 20-September-2014 for CA$5,29 sampled at home in Washington on 26-December-2014.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color Marzen with a medium size slightly off-white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of lightly sweet cereal notes with some light floral notes. Taste is dominated by floral notes with some clean cereal notes with light residual sugar notes and caramel notes are also noticeable. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Easily drinkable with clean malt bill.

L’olfactif est de caramel et de céréales. Des notes de pain également. Typiquement lager comme olfactif. Mais il s’estompe rapidement. Le visuel est ambré, très clair et présente une mousse d’une épaisseur moyenne, assez dense, mais qui disparait rapidement. L’attaque est légèrement effervescente avec une pointe d’amertume herbacée en finale. Les notes de pain sont discrètes. Beaucoup de retenue au niveau des saveurs. Le caramel est quand même bien implanté. ressemble beaucoup à la Premium Lager. Acceptable à la limite.

Glad to see they decided to bring this one out in a single big bottle at the LCBO. Pours a clean rich amber colour with a frothy-creamy off-white head, good retention and some creamy-foam lacing. Sweet malty nose with some bread notes, hints of honey and grass. The taste is quite grainy with cereal and biscuit malts. Mild soapy hops show up in the finish to balance things. Quite a nice easy-drinking Oktoberfest that I wish comes back every year.

Draft - Orange and some grainy notes. Copper with a white head. Lots of grains and some very light citrus. Refreshing and better than I expected.

On tap at the brewpub. A nice orange amber pour with a thick beige head. The taste is grainy caramel malts, some metallic tang, raisins, biscuit and a somewhat of a watery quality to it.

From a 16 oz can. Pours a clear copper with a thick off white head. Crisp malty nose. Flavors of biscuit. Clean finish. Very nice lager.

Big can from the State store in Charlottetown. Pours a brilliantly clear deep golden color with a good sized bubbly white head that lasts forever. Sweet grainy bready pilsner and faint spicy floral hops. Flavor follows the aroma quite well. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. A bit sweet but easy enough to drink, I enjoyed this.
