Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a medium off-white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some residual sugar notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some residual sugar notes with bourbon and vanilla notes. Body is about average with medium carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Interesting wheat wine with a nice mix of flavors.

Tasting at Ryans, can; this one is labeled Eminence IPA
Murky, milky, pale blond colour with large, compact head; the lace is actually beautiful, but I can’t give more to the abomination represented by Hazies. Dank aroma, with a touch of tropical fruit. The mouthfeel is dry and creamy, not starchy; initially, there is some good hop character, but quickly overwhelmed by massive hopburn; drinking this is a bit of pleasure/punishment duo, like using hot sauce.

Tasting at Ryans, can
Black colour. Aroma of roasted malt and cacao, mild vanilla, light cardboard. Good body strength; sweet, but also well carbonated; nice base of dark chocolate and cacao, with layers of vanilla chocolate, finishing with strong, warming alcohol.
Very good.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Clear-ish amber with minimal off white head. Acidic balsamic, not especially complex. Meh. One of those last releases from Barncat that doesn't seem very thought out.

Poured from 473mL can. Very dark brown with small beige head. Mild woodiness, mild bourbon, a solid version of BA Rat Queen, especially as it warms.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!) shared with Alex @ Ryan's. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, vanilla, some light meaty notes. Taste: along the same lines, pretty good body, low to moderate sweetness, a bit boozy. Overall: pretty good, but not the best one from them IMHO. RIP Barncat.

Poured from 473mL can. Murky yellow with small white head. Muddled hops, hop burn, a bit yeast soupy, not elegant in even the most liberal of interpretations. Still some quality ingredients in there, but it's just that it's a haphazard melange. Okay.

16oz (thx, Brian C.!) shared with Alex @ Ryan's. Eminence label. Appearance: murky blonde with a huge white head. It definitely does look like the Barncat guys threw in all of the ingredients they had for IPAs, lol. Aroma: a bit dank, juicy. Taste: very dank, lots of hops, noticeably bitter, earthy, a bit watery, Overall: not bad for the leftovers, I believe. RIP Barncat.
