Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some caramelized malt and bourbon barrel notes and vanilla notes with some residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with caramelized malt with some woody bourbon barrel coffee notes and some vanilla notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Great mix between a barleywine and a BA stout, with great additional complexity brought in by the double barrel aging.

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a brown medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of deeply caramelized malt with some toffee notes with some barrel notes of vanilla and bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes and some toffee notes and vanilla with nice bourbon notes that are cutting through the residual sugar notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation with some warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable barleywine with barrels notes that balance some of the more sweet notes.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Clear orange gold with small white head. Oak, cheesy funk, hint of vinegar, okay.

500ml (thx, Brian C.!) shared with Farees @ Ryan's. Appearance: a bit hazy pale copper with a white head. Aroma: some wild notes, a bit of the acetone, oaky, a bit fruity. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: ok.

500ml (thx, Brian C.!) shared with Farees @ Ryan's. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: oaky, some dark fruits, some weird grassy notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit thin, quite unbalanced. Overall: meh.

Dark brown. No head. This has molasses, it's a bit nutty, and some burnt malt notes. There's a bit of brown sugar, light chocolate, and a fair bit of bourbon. It does have a lot of bourbon, which brings lots of wood and some vanilla, but isn't all that refined. Good.
