Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some strong woody bourbon notes and light vanilla. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some vanilla notes with some strong bourbon and vanilla notes and a sweet finale. Body is pretty full with an oily texture and good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Nice woody bourbon stout with good chocolate flavors with sweet finish.

473mL can, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Nose has some oxidation, bready malt, and resinous hops – smells old. Flavour is hoppy, with plenty of resinous hops, bready malt, some oxidation, and toasted caramel. Not a deep body, somewhat flat. It’s alright.

473mL can. Some piney and resinous hops, a bit herbal, definitely a lot of oxidization going on in the nose here. Flavour has a similarly old, piney hop character, lots of burnt caramel hops, bready malts, plenty of oxidization. Pretty decent, but definitely not the best barley wine out there.

Bottle from Volo. Hazy copper pour, with a small off white head. Aroma is malt vinegar, dark fruit, acidic, oaky, light brown sugar, very very Flemish sour notes. Medium tart, dry, medium bitter. Crisp, and refreshing

Can.
Hazy yellow pour, with a huge white head. Aroma is a BLAST of dank, green, wet hop cones. This is the definition of dank, and green. Mouth feel is full, and the carb is soft, but satisfying. Finish is highly bitter, medicinal, herbal, licorice note mingles with the dank green hop notes. very interesting stuff. Gets pretty boozy as it warms. An interesting sipper.

Bottle from the brewery. Great idea to bottle a still version straight from the feoder. Hazy orange pour, with obviously no head. Wicked funk aromas coming off this brew! Funky, woody, earthy, soft citrus and wet hay. Low to medium sourness, and the funk is so good. Serving this still is an excellent idea, and it totally brought out the subtleties of the funk notes.

Growler from the brewery. Cloudy, hazy yellow pour, with a huge off white head. The aroma has huge tropical fruit notes, loads of grasses, citrus is off the charts, huge fresh hop pellet aromas. Some light dankiness, perfect carb and mouth feel, and the finish is medium bitter. A hop heads dream.another spectacular beer from a spectacular brewery.

Very light and refreshing, light wood, quite tart, hints of funk and alot of lemon, and citrus zest. Lovely mouth feel and carb. Very crisp tart/sour finish, incredibly drinkable, great sour.
