Bottle. Bright blond, clpoudy, with lace. Nose of urinal, grapefruit, tons of bretty funk, apple, pear. Flavor collapses into nail polish with pear and nasty funk. Something went very wrong.

Pour is a thick looking fruit puree with a small white head. Aroma is a lactic tartness with fruit juice and bubblegum. Flavor is a pear juice with a bacterial tartness that is very minor. Finish has some mineral earthiness to it with a bitter finish. Pretty weird beer but I did like it. The fruit-tart bitterness combined with acid makes this flavorful and different.

New rating: This sample is so much better. Tap at hollywoods but it got to be a different barrel, Has some bitter attributes but overall its now a very mild tart brew reminiscent of rodenbach! Finish is civilized and easy, good stuff. Boy, no consistancy on this one dry log! Old rating: 6/2/4/2/8/ (2.2) Tap @ Hollywood gardens. Slightly cloudy pale brew. Mostly clear. Mild wild apple aroma. Yes, this is cider, not really much more. It comes across like a mild fully fermented out cider. ITs, quite dry for the alky rating here. Quite disappointing, I was thinking this would be somewhat tart or sour on the buds but it is simply missing any of the wild or tart attributes I’ve come to know with a wild ale. Probably this should listed as a cider, for I don’t think there is any beer in this stuff. Not one of DL’s better brews, yes, quite disappointing. Reminds me of my own homemade hard cider except that its lacking the gag reflex, heheh.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy vibrant golden color with s large foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart and chalky with perfume and Sweettart candy. The flavor was sour with vinegar, chalk and Sweettart candy. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky yellow-peach color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was musty and bretty with a peach note. The flavor was very bretty and musty with noted of pear, apricot, plastic and band aid. Very long finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with lots of active streams of carbonation rising off the bottom of the glass and a thin head of fizz that dies off about as quickly as it regenerates from the carbonation. Flavor is OK at first, but it becomes less enjoyable the longer it sits on the palate and the more I have. It’s kind of a sweet corn-like malt presence with a twinge of wild fermentation to it. Almost like someone tried to sour a marco lager. It has a little bit of a metallic/landfill edginess that I associate with my failed attempt at making a Berlinerweisse... (I’m told oxygen in the souring process did this...). All in all, it’s a pretty mediocre sour.

Tap @ Brixton. Slight dull tart aroma. Nice lacing on this one. Orange brown and clear. Lighter flavor, hides his alky well. Fun loving, just a hint of hops. Very nice finish. Fruity and mildly tart. Very good overall beer tasting experience. It ROCKS. Really good old ale, yum.

Bottle - pours dark brown - nose/taste of cherry, caramel, oak, light spice and citrus peel - medium body.
