The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, fresh, juicy orange passionfruit, light mineral, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

The flavour is strong bitter, with a crisp, fresh, light tart grapefruit, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can. Dram Shop Sheffield. Nearly clear straw colour. Thin and sticky lasting white foam. Nose has lemon pith. Clean dry cracker malts. Whiff of the wheat. Very light orangey notes. Taste is dry and light bitter with a touch of sweetness on the lips. Light and crisp. Dry and light bitter finish. Not a style I’m particularly familiar with, but I think this is a good example. Anyway it’s the best Buxton I’ve had in a while. Smashed it in minutes.

0.44l can. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, flowers and sulphur. Pours cloudy amber brown color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts mild to medium sweet caramelly and bready, following is chalky, grassy and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is bitter and dry. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Wherever I may roam…

Can. Buxton online. Slick pour sits black. Slim ring of tan. Quite leggy. Nose has coconut cream. Milk chocolate. Some cardamom. Light vinous notes. Taste is tooth decay sweet. Yeah, not too much else really, apart from intense sweetness. But it’s a fucking pancake buttermilk stout. So there is that. Slick and daft and I was fancying something horrible and nasty sweet so it fit the bill. Bollocks but also not bad.

Can. Buxton online. First half was mostly clear gold. Second half was super murky. Lovely dense white head. Goes a bit tits up after that. It’s basically a sweet syrupy boozy mess with no evidence of NZ hops or any particular brewing or packaging skill. It’s just cheap and nasty and it’s pretty heartbreaking that Buxton are reduced to putting out shit like this.
