Winterfest 2015. I did not like this beer. Fitgers is capable of pulling off good sours but this one did not work out. Cloudy yellow. Yogurt and yeast, not sour. I wonder if this needed some aging.

Sampled from the tap at Winterfest 2015. Pours a near clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of sweet citrus and sweet onion with sweet grains underlying. Flavor has the same combination with a bit of booze towards the finish.

Sampled from bottle @ home shared by Countbeer. Thanks for sharing Kamiel! Opaque very dark brown to black color, average sized brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, bourbon, loghtly alcohol, some chocolate, some liquor, slightly liquorice. Taste malts, bourbon, some dark fruits, some alcohol, moderately bitter. Medium body although texture seems a bit thinner than I had expected, medium carbonation. Very nice.

Sample at Great Taste of the Midwest on 08/09/2014: Dark copper-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, yeast and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, earthy yeast and spiced fruit. The finish is roasted malt and bananas. Above average overall.

From old notes, maybe several years ago, marked as bottle 41/70 - My notes are very limited on this one. I think it may have been from the tail end of a RBSG grand tasting. Black pour. Thick, full body. Dominate flavors are bourbon and chocolate. It’s very good and goes down smooth.

Winterfest 2014. An OK Baltic. They got the flavor and aroma right, but neither are as full as I would like. Roasted malt and sugar. Some caramel. Good.

Winterfest 2014. One of the better beers of the evening. Rich, smooth palate. Roasted, but not burnt malt. Usually I do not like lactose but it works well in this beer. Lots of coconut aroma and flavor with the malt and sugar. Great beer.
