Bottle @ Armin’s house, courtesy of CLevar. Thanks! Pours a dark golden appearance with a white head. Soapy, floral, slightly bitter hoppy, a bit spicy aroma. Fairly dry, toasted malty, cracker, light citrusy, earthy flavor. Pretty nice beer.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is very strong, full of liqueur, vanilla, a little bourbon and red wine. Flavour tastes like a mix of bourbon barrels and red wine barrels, despite the absence of the latter, with secondary notes of chocolate, dark fruits, and liqueur. Quite unusual mix of flavours - certainly not a typical imperial stout, with the vinous notes. Finishes on the vinous notes, with subtle dry tartness. Must be infected, but it somehow works okay. Excellent off-kilter barrel ages impie.

Draft @ GABF 2013. Pours a golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty piney hoppy grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter piney grapefruit finish.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours an inky black with some thin, beige head. Nose is very nutty, very malty, burnt toast, chocolate, coffee. Malty flavor, brown sugar, nutty, toast, molasses. Malty, dry finish. Really nice. Very drinkable.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a hazy orange with some creamy, white head. Nose of bubblegum, light smoke, clove, wheat malt, earthy. Flavor is very sweet, candied yams, smoke, bubblegum. Boozy but decent finish. Very unique. I thought the smoke was a good compliment.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a clear gold with some thin, white head. Nose is a little cheesy, honey comb, orange, pine. Flavor is odd, it tastes like aged cheddar, lemon, orange, cottage cheese. Sticky finish. Something is off.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a hazy yellow with some hazy, white head. Nose of wheat, berries, yogurt, some truffle. Flavor has an odd, foraged mushroom character, lemon, yogurt, distinct minerality. Clean, refreshing finish. Unique.

GABF 2013. Pours a bit hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Fiarly spicy, funky, lemony lactic, vanilla, a touch herbal aroma. Not a ton of berries in the flavor though there is a moderate fruitiness that comes off more as lemon. Light acidity. Easy to drink but I was really hoping for more.
