On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of pine with some sweet grains and a hint of blueberry underlying. Flavor starts with pine and is joined by sweet grains, biscuit and blueberries.

Winterfest 2016. Dark brown color, and aroma of hops. Lightly roasted malt. I was not sure what it was while drinking it. Some roasted malt, lightly bitter hops. OK for this style, which often has little to offer.

Winterfest 2016. Chili chocolate stout. black beer, and a tall head. Light pepper in the aroma, but much stronger in the flavor and I feel the pepper in my throat. Heavily roasted malt. Well made, perhaps a little too much pepper heat for my taste.

Winterfest 2016. Very dark brown. Big coffee aroma coming form this beer, but I also get lactose. heavily roasted, coffee flavor, but a milk flavor that is like drinking a cold coffee with milk. Good.

Winterfest 2016. Dark brown beer. Lots of cherry in the aroma, which I attribute to the barrel. Medium sweet and lightly roasted. Just lightly tart, not very sour at all, and while I love a good sour, I think the suble tartness works better than an intensely sour character would have. Good.

Winterfest 2016. Flavor is dry and earthy. Aroma reminds me of a British mild with lots of roasted grain. Not sweet, quite dry with grain. Moderate hops. This is most definitely not a Pilsner, dunkel is probably the closest style.
