Dark amber, very cloudy. Rich head. Fruity chocolate aroma. Well-balanced fruity flavour that turns into an yeast-dry, somewhat sourish finish. Nice beer.

Ruby-amber coloured body with a fantastically dense white head and trillions of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Very sweet smells of fruit in addition to a strong malt character. Some caramel and spice notes are also noticeable in the aroma. Both the appearance and aroma are very nice! Medium-bodied; Full of carbonation, initial strong spiceyness melding into a strong maltiness. Aftertaste very thin and subtle, showing some of the spice and malt characteristics. Overall, not well balanced and a bit too thin. Worth trying as the aroma and appearance were very nice! I will try another beer from this brewery, however! I bought this 33 cL bottle from Whole Foods in Vienna, Virginia and sampled this on 12-September-2003

The aroma is very fruit sweet. The color is red-brown and it has a beutiful but disappearing head. The flavor is of lingonberries, fruit, and dry wood. It ends on a slight bitterness. It has an OK palate.

The aroma is sweet rich in fruit notes where plum dominates. The color is an unclear brown/orange and it has an OK but disappearing head. The flavor is of plums, black currant, and other fruits combined with a dryness. It ends on a woody note. It has an OK palate.

Hazy orange/brown colour. Cotton-wool head that seems to last forever. The aroma is very off-putting and makes me think of an uncleaned toilet; it smells like PISS! There might be some fruit in it as well but I just couldn't stick my nose into the glass again. Sweet and and warming flavour with a drier finish. If it wasn't for the "aroma" Columbus would have been a quite nice beer.

Name ought to be spelled IJwit, no space! This way the (Dutch)wordplay is missed. Orange-pale/greenish shine. Medium-white head. Nose with coriander and orange peel. Citrussy taste, wheat and malt. very well balanced, both in sweetness-sourness, as in refreshingness-body. Alcohol comes peeping in the aftertaste. This is how a serious Belgian witbier ought to taste. Good try!

This is an unclear orange beer with a small but disappearing head. The aroma is filled with notes of caramel, coriander, cinnamon, oranges, and cloves. The flavor has a weak beginning, a little fruity, a little yeasty - then it prickles the tongue, to turn weak again compared to the 8% ABV. But the ending makes up for it all - with a great bitterness with notes of oranges, cloves, and coriander.

Cloudy brown color, medium head. Smells metallic, iron, some malts. Taste is not at all double-like, which i was hoping for. Very disappointing beer.
