Draught at The Beerhive, Salt Lake City, UT. Lightly hazy golden, smallhead. Mild aromaof butter and orange. Mid sweet with very light body and quite soft mouthfeel. Slight tangerine and butter lingers in a finish with very low bitterness. A subtle beer that works surprisingly well.

Draught at The Beerhive, Salt Lake City, UT. Pale nut brown, small head. Mildly roastywith some peachy hops. Light-medium bodied with clean but firm mouthfeel. Salty bitterish finish. A clean, fairly hoppy well drinkable ale.

1L swing top bottle from the Moab Brewery, thanks Tim, Amber and Tuesday for picking this up for me
Appearance: Hazy dark amber with no head or lacing
Aroma: Caramel, hot alcohols, sour fruits
Taste: Very thin, hot alcohols, malts, bitterness in the finish
I was saving this for my 400th rating, I was really looking forward to a good Black IPA. To bad this bottle is flat and starting to oxidize. When I popped the top there was NO pop or hiss, so it never bottle conditioned correctly. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this beer, so I’m pretty sure this is a bad bottle. I’m going to rate what I can. I’ll re-rate it when I can try this beer again. I’m sure the rating will go up with a good example. It makes you want to cry to pour almost 1L of beer down the drain, it’s much easier with only 12oz.

This is the way I remembered it. A nice clean and crisp beer. It has a nice pale malt biscuity flavor with a slightly bitter pine finish. Very nice. I updated the score to reflect this rating.

I really like this beer in bottles and at the Moab Brewery, but this beer just didn’t taste right today. I don’t know why, maybe it’s been here to long. I’ll buy a bottle and rate it again in the future.

1L bottle at a friends house, brought from the USA. ABV is 8.59%. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of sweet (stone)fruits, sugar and spices like coriander. Flavour is sweet at first, very fruity with stonefruits, malty, spicy (just a bit too much coriander), with a good bitter finish that resembles that of a saison, nice and dry, even a bit chalky. Medium to fullbodied. Nice beer.

Big thanks to douglas88 for sending this liter swing top my way. It pours deep gold with a bit of haze and white head. The aroma has light colored fruit, a touch of grainy malts, floral hops and then rounded out by a thin layer of dark fruity esters accompanied by a bit of heat. The taste begins as apricots, peaches, plums and some apple mixing with sweet sugary malts. By midway some alcohol heat builds to thin out the mouthfeel a bit. It evens out into the finish with nearly silky smooth notes of malty grains, apricot and apple.

Bottle shared by hopscotch @ otakuden’s Vero Beach Throwdown. Pours cloudy medium brown color with tan head. Pine hops and dough aromas. Bitter hop flavor with some toasted malts.There is just a hint of oak. Medium body with average carbonation.

Wow! This mouth watering liter swing top comes in an amazing paper wrapping (they had me at “liter”) courtesy of douglas88. Thanks man! It pours brown with copper hues and thin tan head. The aroma is pine mixing with a nice load of oak. The aroma seems a bit timid for the style. The taste is full with pine hop flavor then moving into bitterness with a tasty level of malty sweetness. The oak is there from beginning to end. It ends with oak, pine hop bitterness, some roastiness and fading malt sweetness. Yummy stuff.
