This was poured into a pint glass at the brewpub.
The appearance was a hazy golden burnt orange to red color with a slim soft white foamy bar pour’s kind of head. Lacing is speckled after the head dies.
The smell had a sweet caramel malt over top of a light citrus and light pine.
The taste had a malty sweetness over the citrus sweetness and the light pine to balance decently. Semi-sticky caramel aftertaste leading into a sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sessionable feel about it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good pale ale with food, American, maybe not so much, as it definitely leads towards the English side.

On tap at brewpub.
They poured this into a flared pilsener, don’t ask me why, but if anything, well, maybe they’re onto something.
The appearance was a thick dark brown with a slim off white level foamy head cutting the top of the glass nicely. Lacing is barely there.
The smell is absolutely awesome as a delicate cocoa roams over roasty coffee and subtly adds in the strawberry to balance really nice.
The taste takes the sweet to combine with the roast and add a slight bitter to balance. Light roasty aftertaste roams about into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation seems to run subtle but leads to no ill effect, everything seems fine.
Overall, this is probably this brewpub’s best beer. Everything combined really nice, would love to have again.

On tap at the brewpub.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy hazy orange with a slight transparency running about it. Slim white bar pour’s kind of head coats the top.
The smell had that sweet ESB-ish apple I normally associate with the style with an undercarriage of glazed of caramel malts to balance nicely.
The taste was there enveloping the prior flavors to balance. There’s barely any aftertaste nor finish but that’s okay given it’s an ESB.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs smooth to give off a nice creamy texture typically associated with the style.
Overall, as an ESB it works and I wouldn’t mind having again with some fish n’chips.
