Bautiful gold without real head. Aroma is natural apple, sweet and sour. Taste is sweet and sour, comparable with honey, very nice. Medium carbonated, very apple juicy finish. This tastes like a very good mix of apple juice and water. A little dryness later. This is good.

Rerate, 3 year old batch. Dry Apple and pear skin aroma. Medium full body, chewy, still sweet fruitiness, but balanced, sweet yet balanced. 8 3 6 3 13 Young Bottle. Golden. Great light fermented apple aroma, sparkly light sweet, dry, start of a white wine note, sweet finish. Room for things to happen.

Bottle shared thanks to Clownoisseur for the trade. Clear golden with with a few bubbles. Lots of sweet apples, dry cellar funk, wood, dusty apple skins, light booze, dried apple. Under medium sweet with dusty and mineral bitter finish. Medium bodied with a bit of fizzy carbonation and a bit dry feel. Good stuff.

(Kiev 2016). 375 ml. bottle. 2012 Vintage. Shared by 4. Loud pop upon opening. Pours an insanely lively sparkling golden, more lively than Champagne, huge white head that instantly fizzes way, lemon golden, crazily lively brew. Nose is very raw barnyard & funk, brett, fermenting apples, mineral apples, raw apple skin funk, brett, wowza didn’t see this much funk coming from a cider. Taste is raw barnyard funk, insanely lively beer, apple skins, fermenting apples, rotting lemon, brett, hay, barnyard. So much carbonation & so much funk. Very unusual for me at first & quite challenging. Almost admired it more than I liked but it grew on me and I started appreciating a bit. Dry beyond the massive carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cidre Bouché Fermier on 03 Jun 2016 at 00:49 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 9. Original review text: (Kiev 2016). 750 ml. bottle. 2013 Vintage shared by 4. Hazy citrus golden, extremely sparkling & lovely. Nose is also intense dank fermenting apple, near mineral, barnyard, low brett, faint prune but the funk is touch less here than with the “Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouché” I tried prior to this one & you get some light dry faintly sweet apple that adds a pleasant touch, preferred this a bit more over the higher rating & more wild and rustic “Etienne Dupont Cidre Bouché”. This one is a bit more approachable for a newbie like me I suppose. Taste is milder but still strong fermenting apple & apple skin funk, massively funk, low brett, almost mineral, apples, floral. Intense, took some getting used to admirable.

375 ml bottle, 2011 vintage sampled in 2016. Practically clear amber body with practically no head. Strong aroma of apples, ripe apples, caramel and some wood. Flavor is very sweet, rich apple with some acidity that saves it from becoming just sticky sweet. It’s more like some kind of sweet desert vine, like Port/Sherry, but with ripe apples instead of grapes, still lots of dry fruit, caramel and some gentle, warming alcohol. Full bodied and long lasting sweet aftertaste. Too sweet to be drank alone, but works fine as a desert wine with some fruit, nuts or cookies.

9/13/12/13/11/13

Recht trockener Beginn mit erkennbarem Alkohol. ZurĂĽckhaltende Apfelnoten, die sich nur wenig steigern. Trotz der schweren Alkoholigkeit vergleichsweise sĂĽffig, leicht herb. Okay. 8/9/8/9/11/8
