Established in 1987
Determined to make world-class beer in our own backyard, one of our first, and perhaps best, decisions was to invest in new, state-of-the-art brewing equipment. So we bit the bullet, laid down our borrowed cash, and spent the better part of 1987 installing the new system. Our love for the environment is what drives our sustainable practices, so pure water, local ingredients and responsible processes are poured into each and every tasty pint.

A few bottles circa 2011, from notes. Clear, amber, medium-to-large beige head showing moderate retention. Spicy hop notes with some strongly bready malts and low minerality. Seemingly moderate to high attenuation. Clean. Malty, though very highly carbonated breaking up the maltiness. I like the spicy hop character, though the bready, caramelly malts quite a bit less. Drinks pretty substantially and filling from all the carbonation. Clean. Mine must have sat in the fridge long enough to clean up the diacetyl.

bottle. pours somewhat hazy copper-amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is mild with grains, caramel malts and a bit of pine. The taste is dominated by the overly sweet caramel malts--and thats all i really get. The palate is on the thin side. Finishes short and saccharine. Overall: OK brew--I remember enjoying this back in the late 1990's when all I had to compare it to was BMC macro stuff and I thought it was quite revolutionary. But it really does not hold up to current expectations.
