Handpull cask at the Kings Arms, Leicester. Light golden, clear with a very thin and loose white head. Harsh grainy aroma. Bitter taste with a good sulphurous dollop. Bitter astringency on the long finish. Touches of citrus and butterscotch on the aftertaste. Not my kind of thing.

On cask at Acorn Inn, pours a deep dark amber / mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, dry caramel, and toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, a touch of caramel and even lighter toffee. Bready, creamy, dry palate. Solid.

From cask at Crown Inn, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, with OGJ 03.01.18. Clear mahogany. Foamy, dense and persistent head and lacing, in spite of being served without a sparkler. Fine aroma of medium dark malt and caramel. Complex taste of medium dark malt, brittle, caramel, roasted almonds and dried berries. Low bitterness.
