16 oz. can. Thanks, Tim! Pours a pale, cloudy, yellow color, with a medium, fizzy, white head. The nose is lime juice, ginger, vanilla, tumeric, and light salt. Sweet and sugary, with a bright, citrusy, tartness. Light and acidic, and a bit syrupy. Fun and tasty, similar to a Moscow mule.

Black with a small foamy dark brown head that left decent lacing. Toasty with strong chocolate, faint vanilla, whiskey and hot pepper. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.

Very dark brown coloured body with a thick, five centimetre tall rich lighter brown head that somehow fades to nothing at all, after a few seconds. Aroma of very deep roasted malts, chocolate, light coffee, vanilla, earth, caramelised sugars and a big dose of chocolate here at the tail end. Medium-bodied; Strong and rich malt note shows first with the oatmeal and very deeply toasted, perhaps burnt grainy notes with some vanilla here and coffee bitterness with a light bit of icing sugar at the finish with a good deal of bitterness from the grain here, too. Aftertaste is pretty pungent, quite bitter and showing a lot of deeply bittered notes, mainly from the coffee and chocolate but the rustic nuts and oatmeal add to the roasted malts in a nice way. Overall, a very nice, super rich, earthy and pugnent stout that hits nicely, even in the warmer weather - great to sample and well worth trying to find if you are in the beaches of South Carolina at Christmas or in the summertime anywhere! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Lowe's Foods in Pawley's Island, South Carolina on 01-January-2022 for US$10,99/six pack, canned on 15-October-2021 and sampled in my hotel room here in Patuxent River, Maryland on 10-May-2022.

Very, very sweet, even for a doppelbock, with a huge front offering up caramel, date, raisin, cocoa, and malt syrup, with a touch of pumpernickel on the back end and a back-end bitterness than turns moderately saccharine as the pint warms. Very American.

375ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, dark brown head. Mild, slightly roasty, chocolately, dark and caramel malty as well as woody, slightly fruity, vinous fruity and minimally yeasty spicy aroma, notes of dark caramel, oak, toasted oak, blue grapes, some marmite, a touch of chocolate, blueberry, Bourbon, vanilla. Taste is dry woody, vinous fruity, dark malty, slightly alcoholic, notes of oak, blue grapes, dark caramel, a touch of blueberry, plum wine, treacle; slightly warming, alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, very fine, soft to flat carbonation. Not overly complex in itself, well adjusted BA support, harmonious - will not become a legendary brew.

Opaque pale yellow with a thick head that disappears quickly. Mild fruit aroma. Mildly sour like an underripe plum. Spicy bite at the finish. Has a mild earthy quality, but not the mustiness of many saisons. Good flavor.

Can pour from Hop City Krog Street Market, Atlanta. It's an opaque black with nice viscosity, no sparkle, finger-width fizzy light brown head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong sweet malts with coconut with a hint of anise (like an ouzo), bit of toffee and mild alcohol burn with a deep sniff. Taste is strong nonspecific fruit (apple?) and coconut with bready quality (like one of those cookies with a dollop of fruit in the middle). Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, no sign of alcohol, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, coconut is pretty muted. Not sure if I like the hint of anise in the aroma or the fruit in the taste. Makes it more complex but not sure it totally works. OK.

16oz can pours out hazy golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice citrus hops upfront and some sweetness. Taste is more of the nice sweet over ripe citrus hops.
