Nagahama x Two Rabbits NZ XPA 6.5%
Crystal clear deep yellow gold with thick foam and a tutti-frutti and prickly pear aroma. Medium bodied the flavor adds lots of woodsy pine and a sweet rough earthiness I often get from Nagahama beers. Overall, it’s ok.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. MOderate bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Clear amber, offwhite head. Odd, weirdly perfumy aroma, stale in a way. Sweet, fruity flavour, floral.

Bottle @ Martin tasting. Clear amber with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 221125

Tap at Bakuon 2025. Dark brown, tan head. Malty nose, caramel and chocolate, oaky. Rich malt, not so heavy, slightly woody though I guess not barrel aged. Raisins, caramel.

Apparently a 8-month BA version will come out soon but this is the standard version. Ultra smooth and malty with caramel and lots of malt character. Good smooth stuff.

Nagahama BA Cacao Stout 7%
A deep black motor oil looking pour with thick dense rusty tan foam. It’s got a savory dark chocolate aroma with big oaky notes. Full bodied with a semi-dry finish.
This beer reminds me of old school BA beers like Dark Lord. It’s about 80% of the way there but isn’t sweet or all that chocolatey. If you’re looking for a tasty BA stout this’ll do the trick and won’t break the bank to boot.
