a solid white head with lacing over an unfiltered yellow/amber body. nose features fresh grapefruit, sweet malt and touch of pine. Fresh citrus is the order of the day in the taste profile. Grapefruit, lemon and tangerine stand out. Sweet malt, resin and some IPA soapiness round out a well balanced IPA. The lactose might be there, but is not obvious.

On tap at the pub chez gibb in rouyn Noranda. Clear golden pour, small white head. Aroma is slightly buttery, slightly fruity, with a stale hard candy sweetness. This sweetness permeates the beer, and really dominates it. Little to no bitterness.... Not good. Disappointing considering how good their ipa was when I had it in the past.

I had the normal distortion, and their randall version with amarillo at the mondiale 2014. The regualr version had a big citrus aroma, loads of zest, and citrus oils, with a faint but present malt back bone. Medium to high bitterness. Intense citrus ptih bitterness, i love it. Great grapefruit, and light pine finish, a promissing young brewery.

Bottle from Beer Republic. Hoppy and malty aroma with caramel, fruity notes, pine, touch of citrus and grapefruit. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Proper Red IPA, bitter, nice hop and malt balance.

Bottle from Beer Republic. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, orange, some pine, pale malt, tropical notes, touch of grass and pineapple. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. Body is medium. Simply a solid IIPA, citrussy fruity hops with some pine and malt, light tropical. Good!

A slight haze, amber colour with a big creamy, light warm-beige head, very long retention and foamy-soapy thick lacing left. Fruity, darker malt aromas with some decent grassiness from the hops. The taste is fairly hoppy, creating some nice dry finish. Caramel malt taste, apples, hints of nuttiness with the grassy touch. Not a bad American-style Amber ale.

Clean, very light golden-yellow colour with a frothy white cap, average stay and minimal lacing. A decent, fresh herb-grassy aroma over the straw malts, corn and rice. Hints of bite that feels like alcohol do appear. The taste is fine with the nice hoppiness, but everything is on the mild side, as a light beer should be. A tad haze, not-unfiltered to max does show up. The Hallertau hops really make this light lager feel like a micro, helping not getting a headache.

Pours a clean, darker brown colour with deeper amber highlights, a huge creamy light-beige head, very long lasting creating some good foamy-creamy lacing. Big coffee aromas over mild roasted malts and some nuttiness. And coffee is quite present in the taste (even though I do not think any is added). Cacao notes with the roasted barley. Some decent bitterness and good hoppy grassiness in the end. The dryness is not too much, but just right for the style. Quite a nicely brewed brown ale, but the coffee thing is weird here.

Clean golden-amber colour with a big creamyish, warm cap, long lasting retention and some foamy spots of lacing. Cinnamon nose with fruity malts and yeasty hints. The mouthfeel is crisp enough with a nice drying touch in the finish. Kind of getting a touch of infection in the taste (which I felt in the aromas), but not overly offensive - as the hops take over a bit in the end. The spicy, fruitiness is again present. Still, not one I would have another.
