On tap, rerate from bottle Mostly neutral nose with some grassy hops. Brown golden, sparkly carbonation, low lacing creamy head. Cookie malt quite nicely balanced by grassy and light resiny piney hops. Bitter with a bitter finish. Medium to light body. Very nice.

Thanks to Omhper for sending this one! I will drink this one as a toast to the European Gatherers! Pours like a weizen. Cloudy dull orange color with a thick creamy head. Fruity citrus/orange aroma. No hops on the nose. The flavor is very bitter, dry all the way through. Very little sweetness. I like a little more malt balance and more hop aroma than this beer has.

Sampled draught at Ardbeg Room, Stockholm.
Dark brown, creamy head. Aroma of licorice and grass. Very dry with roasty maltiness. Firm, crisp and pleasantly hoppy with lingering bitter finish. More of a black pilsener than anything else.

Bottle #282. Black. Brief beige head. Woody, roasty, whiskey-like nose. Dry with soft, velvetty mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Oaky finish with balanced bitterness. This beer has definitely gained on the barrel aging.

The aroma is fruity and bitter. The color is a hazy orange and it has a fine dense but disappearing head. The flavor is rather bitter for an ale, with only a slight bitterness and notes of oranges. The end is hoppy and flowery with oily notes - a dryness lingers. An OK ale - though a little too bitter for a standard ale.

The aroma is lovely fruity and hoppy with notes of bitterness and oil. The color is a beutiful clear orange and it has a beutiful dense head. The palate is a thin, but it is only a bitter. The flavor has a good balanced sweetness, and contains notes of oranges and aroma hops. Except for the thin body this is a really good beer.

The aroma is acidic and a little sweet. The color is an unclear orange/brown and it has a fine but disappearing head. The flavor is sour as a mild shall be, but I don't like the style. This version is a little is a very thin watery mild - not much of anything.

The aroma is sweet, malty, and slightly smoked - the aroma is rather slight, but good. The color is pitch black and it has a good but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet chocolate with coffee and roasted notes. Great when it is served "warm".

The aroma is light: sweet, malty with roasted notes. The aroma is too light. The color is pitch black with a beutiful chocolate brown head. The flavor is sweet and malty with good roasty notes. A nice porter - especially considering the alcohol content.
