[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A dark amber coloured pour with a beige rim; malty aroma; oily in the mouth with a sweet nutty malt taste; and a dry burnt caramel finish.Rather austere and uninviting.

Cask at The Parchment Makers, Havant. Poors quite hazy and gradually becomes a clear copper gold. Foamy white head. Aroma has soft fruit with a sour edge. Flavourwise it's quite tart and sour. Gains a woody bitterness and spice. Underlying low key malts and soda water. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Passable.

From the cask at JDW Mossy Well. Creamy white head and a clear straw colour. Light aroma of sweet malts and a hint of tropical fruit. Taste is very light with notes of white peach and hay. Very light bitterness. Extremely light mouthfeel. It might be better suited to a tropical climate. It tasted very insipid and very slightly sour in Muswell Hill, which is most definitely not tropical right now.
