Bottle at home. Oddly colored brew. Nose is light smoke and bready. Tastes very doughy, some salt and pepper, earthy, wheat Odd palate and aftertaste I can’t put finger on. Enjoyed second glass more than first but still a weird one.

Bottle at home. Hazy pour one finger white head. Nose is lovely tropical fruits and soft wheat reminiscent of an Ohio tourism board commercial. Tastes of mango, melon, lemon, hint of berry, wheat, light brett, touch of herbaceous to finish it off. Mouthfeel is creamy and subdued. Pretty lovely. Kent falls is great summer time stuff

Bottle shared at OEC’s 2nd Anniversary, 6/4/16.
Lightly to moderately hazy, bright flaxen-yellow gold body is topped by a small white head with moderate retention.
Very minor pineapple in the nose, which is mostly juicy hops adding tons of fresh meyer lemon, mango and light grapefruit. It’s not resinous, and the brett is pretty mild, adding light lime and hints of hickory nut skin. Quite a bit more malt/grain apparency than I remember the base beer having, though that one does have a strong biscuit/cracker character. Add to that some light bread dough and a bit of honey and you’ve got a rather robust, encompassing nose with no alcohol or flaw.
The pineapple quite apparent in the flavor and while I know Kent Falls would use nothing but the most fresh, real pineapple, it still comes off a bit novel and candy-like. Not horribly so, and the rest of the beer is still well-made, with lots of strong wheat and biscuit notes, more sweet honey and tons of citrus from the hops. Quite juicy with moderate bitterness and good balance overall, but I don’t love the pineapple. Would rather leave it to the hops and brett to produce the more subtle pineapple notes, which they easily do, in most beers.

Draught at Atwood’s, 6/1/16.
Heavily hazy, pale-golden with limey-brass tints and a medium-sized, well-retained white head atop.
Lemon-lime and more citrus greet the nose as very easygoing/mild brett notes take backseat. Green flowers, fresh guava and delicate honey from the malts all provide a dainty and very well-balanced nose that is free from any pine or other harsh/aggressive notes.
The first thing I notice, before taking in any of the flavors, is the fluffy, practically airy texture that comes from the ultra fine carbonation and incredibly soft wheat/yeast/hops in suspension (not sure which combination of them it is). It doesn’t seem slick or oily, however and feels more malt/wheat-driven to me. Whatever the case, it provides just enough honey to balance the mild lime-guava of the brett and lightly juicy meyer lemon and dry pineapple from the hops. Bitterness gains a little bit of traction on the finish, especially with warming, but the juiciness keeps it in check. A difficult "style" to do well, especially showing restraint on the brett and hops. It’s masterfully done here, I think.

On tap at Torst. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, lacto, lemon zest. Thin mouth, strong citrus, tart lemon, light funk, good.

Not sure how people are still on the "tastes like macro adjunct" line. Have you had corn? Do you like corn? How about wheat, spelt, buckwheat??? Yes, they taste different than malted barley but are still deliciously flavorful. This is what traditional beers had; lots of non-barley grains. Past that it’s quite sour, with light acetic character mixing with lactic and honey notes. Really fuckin’ nice citrus with delicate orange and lemon zest from the buddhas hand. Tart, wonderfully quenching and full of complex crereal flavors. Yes, the spelt field beer had adjunct qualities but that’s because it has adjuncts. I think it tastes rustic and unique. The sourness is awesome here and the texture near perfect.

Bottle drunk 5/26/16.
Big, dense, white head atop steadily fades to cover. Golden-copper body has a moderate haze to it.
Cream of wheat-like notes combine with a more playful pepperiness leading to soft honey-vanilla and a touch of floral characteristics on the end. No alcohol or flaw. Low on the esters, which is fun. Really get to get at the buckwheat and other grains.
Tight carbonation, strong attenuation and a soft, wheat-like texture all make for a phenomenally drinkable beer that is clean with just enough rustic graininess to add complexity. Pepper and herbs build up lightly on the finish with just a hint of sweet honey from the base malts. Light apricot-nectarine is the extent of the esters and it’s very reserved, overall, on the Belgian character. Hint of tartness at times.

Draught at Lord Hobo, 5/13/16.
Quite hazy, pale, flaxen-gold body is well-carbonated and topped by a small amount of white head showing average retention.
Lots of fresh house yeast character rises out of the glass, with apple melding with lime, lemon, very light pineapple and easygoing grapefruit. Don’t usually get along with azacca, but this doesn’t seem to have any of the brash fruitiness I’ve found from that hop in other beers. Very sparse, but not underutilized malts provide very light biscuit and just a pinch of honey. Yeast lingers very charmingly on the finish with no alcohol or flaw and no resin (though a good deal of grapefruit).
Bitterness is ample yet still very much in-check, overall, as dry grapefruit, black pepper, lemon zest and biscuity/crackery malts keep things very, very dry in flavor. Never seems husky/grainy though and adding the tight carbonation, the texture is solidly soft and lightly malty. Pepper, citrus, floral/spicy hops and just a touch of pineapple on the finish. Incredibly thirst quenching and drinkable.
