Description
As of August 15, 2022 under new management! Temporarily brewed in Bury, Manchester.
Weird Beard Brew Co. consists of a small team of people, wildly passionate about beer.
We make what we love and we love what we make, brewing all types of beers from hoppy session IPAs to bold imperial stouts and we're partial to experimenting within and around styles. We won't hold back! Because we can brew what we want, when we want, we make sure that we're putting out beers we are proud of.

01/06/2013 Bibere (tap). Ambrata, pallida, schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Al naso sentori fruttati, pesca, mango, leggero agrumato, molto buona! In bocca è bilanciata, la base di malto è discreta e non eccessiva, l’amaro ha una buona persistente, il finale è secco e pulito. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione media. Davvero ben fatta!

500ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma with a piney touch, hints of grapefruit, tangerine and gooseberry, a floral touch, some bubblegum. Taste is slightly bitter hoppy, mineral, fruity hints of green apple, gooseberry, fruit parings, chalk, hay. Too "green", too mineral, too weak on the malt side. One off - go for a second run, this one is a miss.

Cask (I think - could be have been keg?) at the Cask, Pimlico, 10/05/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a medium sized off white head. Nose is hops, light pine, grapefruits, orange pith, touch of sugar. Taste comprises hops, pine, orange, bitter grapefruit, mineral tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Some ripening citrus in the nose with burnt malt undertones. Medium sweet flavor with lightly burnt bread, some orange and grapefruit, a bit of dirt. Medium bodied with fine, slightly creamy carbonation. Finely resinous finish with well toasted malts, subtle roast, touches of ash, some citrus peel, orange. Tasty beer but it could use a bit more bite.

Bottle at home, 25th May 2013. Pours quite dark, copper colour. Aroma is pleasant, taste is hop, gritty sweet malt on the finish. Not bad, but would not fill the cellar

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with huge, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Grassy and herbal hop aroma, a spicy touch, hints of rye, roasty dark malty undertones, cautious hints of coffee. Taste is somewhat split into two components and oscillating between them: minimally sweet dark malty notes with a honey touch and hints of coffee, some roast, dry, grassy and herbal hoppy overtones. Only allusions of the typical carot and and green onion notes of other tokens of this style.

33cl bottle, batch no 0001, bottled on Feb 2013. Mahogany color, thick beige head. Sweetish, dark fruity aroma, yeast and tropical fruits in the back. Flavor is amazing, caramel, maple surupy sweetness, fruity hops, some dark bready notes. Bitter finish with caramel lingering. Weard, but it works!
