Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 10/05/13. Light black with a good sized beige head that retains well. Nose is hops, light pine, touch of soap, light chocolate, berry fruits. Taste comprises hops, sugars, licqourice, blackcurrants, jammy fruits, touch of cocoa. Full end of medium bodied, a little on the chewy side. Ok stuff.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a glass hugging tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. The flavour is strong bitter, with bags of coffee, dark chocolate and plenty of malt on the palate. For a coffee milk stout there was a little too much coffee and not enough milk for me, but still a very good beer.

Bottle shared at the "Dean’s scared of beer tasting" Thin creamy tan head. Clear black pour. A bit watery but very good for the abv.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Islington, London, 26 Apr 2013) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, roasted malt, citrus and piney hops. Malty, roasted taste with cacao, chocolate, freshly ground coffee and a generous piney bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Interesting, and quite nice.

500ml bottle from Ales by Mail
Batch 0003, Bottled MAR 2013 - Pours pitch black with a tiny white head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee beans, sweet milk chocolate and hints of vanilla. Taste is smooth, milky and watery with hints of bitterness and roastiness. Finish is light bodied and has hints of coffee and milk chocolate with some roastiness. Quite complex considering the low abv, but feels quite watery and light.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; slightly hazy copper pour with minimal off white head, piney hop aroma, grapefruit taste some pine, I would estimate 68.97 IBU’s so decent bitter. I’m enjoying this.
