Keg at BD TH, 06/12/18. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white cap. Nose is citric zest, toasted grains, menthol notes, light bread dough, faint hops, background cocoa sprinkle. Taste carries a trace of mint chocolate chip overriding base pale malts and citrix zest, orange peel, toasted grains, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. So so ... doesn't pull together ... @whelming.

Pretty clear deep blond to orange beer, small creamy off-white to yellowish head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely, lots of grapefruit, orange peel, mandarins, bit malty, some caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: some sweet malts, lots of citrus, soft bitterness, grapefruit, nice one! Aftertaste: caramel touch, more citrus, hoppy, little grassy, citrus, some passion fruits, soft acidity.

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer festival 2018. A hazed nutty brown coloured pour with a lasting loose light tan head. Aroma is semi sweet nutty malts, peanut, jammy berries,. Flavour is composed of, semi sweet, oily nutty malts, light burnt oak. Charred toast, tangy jammy berries,. Palate is medium sweet, oily, moderate carbonation.. Long. Lingering woody roast.

This is a solid, rich stout and the cranberry is balanced nicely with it being sweet in the smell but a bit more tart in the flavour, adding to the coffee, hops and coconut for a beer that is impressively complex and rich for strength. A touch coconutty for my taste.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - Hackney, London. Day 3. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. Has a lot of bitter pine needles, grass, pale bread, ripe citrus, orange peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat harshly bitter in the finish, more aggressive grassy bitterness, pale grains, ripe lemon and orange. So so.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2018 - London. Day 1. Pours clear brown with a bubbly off-white head. OK overall, some leathery notes, earth, dusty cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mellow roast in the finish, more earthy hops. Kind of bland overall.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, fruity dark chocolate and bitter dark chocolate. Spice. Little fruitiness underneath. Light finish leaves a bitterish tingling linger.
