Bottle. Pours midnight brown with off white head. Nose/taste of vanilla beans, spiced cocoa, caramel, dark fruit, raisin and wood chips. Sweet mouth feel finishes with dry spices. Odd, but gets a bit smoother/more balanced as it warms. Medium body.

750 mL bottle from Charleston Beer Exchange, shared at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grape tannins, spice, bread, caramel. The taste is bread, herbal notes, curry, grapes, wood and tannins. Medium-full bodied.

750 mL bottle from Greenville Beer Exchange, bottle Nov. 2011, shared at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spice, citrus, bread, lemongrass, grapes. The taste is grapes, bread, spice, caramel and herbal notes. Medium bodied. Very nice beer.

Aroma of tannin, grape, bready and earthy notes. The taste is grapes, bread, herbal notes, spice and tannins. Medium-full bodied. Nice.

Bottle. Pours black with gushy tan head that just wouldn’t stop. Nose/taste of dusty cocoa, pine, hops and grainy malt. Finishes dry burnt chocolate malt. Medium body. Overcarbonated.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont in Washington, DC. Cloudy yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of orange peel and light spice. Taste is slightly sour orange juice and grapefruit. Nice.

Can thanks to stevencon: Poured a hazy orange with off white head. Aroma is piney hops, and citrus fruit. Taste was piney hops which is not over the top, citrus fruits, grapefruit and balanced nicely with malt finish.

Can to stevencon: Poured a hazy yellow with white head. Aroma lemon grass, slightly different than normal witte beers. Taste is lemony, wheat and very appealing.

12 oz. can from De Bierkoning @ home. Dark blonde color, hazy. Huge white head (gushing), soapy. Strong citrus aroma, resinous, some malty & fruity sweetness as well. Flavor is medium bitter with some acidity. Medium bodied. Skunky/herbal and bitter finish.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color, large white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemony white bread. Taste is lemon cream with hi carbonation. Needs a bit more barnyard and a bit less carb.
