Description
We are a 8bbl microbrewery based just outside of Perranporth on the North Cornwall coast. We concentrate on creating small batches of the beers we want to drink using the best ingredients around. We use the best British floor malted barley and our favorite hops from around the world along with Cornish water and our little yeasty helpers to brew tasty beers. We do everything by hand from mashing in to bottling, this means we are able to brew what we want when we want from Imperial I.P.A. to Saisons, it also means we can serve the beers in the most appropriate ways, be that cask, keg or bottles. All our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurized we don't spend time adding flavor to our beers just to filter it out.

330ml can on 20th June 2017 at the monthly tasting in Chez Sophie, shared between five of us. Misty old gold body wise, the head a weak, wispy off-white affair. Tropical fruits abound in the aroma and taste, Pink Grapefruit came to mind and I couldn’t shift that thought as I sniffed and sampled the beer. Decent.

Can. Hazy gold beer, patchy white head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has low carbonation. Thin malts, very mild sweetness. A touch of orange hop bitterness. Light dry finish. Nothing off here but it’s apologetic and wishy washy, really not doing anything for me.

Can shared in London - sourced from Eebria. Pours clear honey-gold with a billowing, frothy white head. There’s a bit of raw alcohol in the nose, phenols, sun-kissed wheat, orange peel. Medium sweet flavour with crisp and grainy bready character, more booze, yeast, faint honey. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A little oily. Pretty boozy in the finish, lightly warming, more wheat, sweat wheat bread, mild bitter citrus peel. This one is a bit raw overall. So so.

Can at home in London - sourced from the Eebria taproom. Opens with a slight gush. Pours clear golden yellow with a small, creamy white head. Moderate saison yeast expression in the aroma, some pale grains, pear, lemon peel, flaked wheat. Light to medium sweet flavour with more wheat bread, semi-ripe lemon, some husky bitterness, grass, hay. Light to medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes with some citrus rind, orange, a little further grassy bitterness, pale grains, light alcohol, more saison yeast, hay. A pretty decent saison overall.

Can from Bottle Baron. Milky bronze body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange, biscuit and pineapple. Flavour of lemon and spring onion. Medium body with a gritty texture. Soft fizz. A well made DIPA that features two of my favourite hops. What’s not to like?
