Deep amber beer, big pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and crisp, semi dry. Mild minerals. Malts provide mild sweetness to balance the bitter hops. Mild caramel and very mild cream. Noble tasting hops, big floral bitterness with a touch of grassy harshness. Trace of citrus. Crispy dry finish, mild citric linger. Mmmmm - comes over like an Imperial English Bitter. Tasty but a bitter bastard.

From can at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Dark amber, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, passion fruit, some biscuit. Taste with the same aromas, but with the fruity notes more present and also some grass and more sweet malt notes. Mouthfeel is medium to light, slick, with a lively carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, dry, with lemon zest, pine, grass. Very good. A typical west coast IPA, with a nice balance between pine and tropical fruit notes. Also with a nice malt backbone. Quaffable!

IPA with Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe. Yellowish white, stable head, hazy amber colour. Aroma of lemon zest, orange, green apple and lots of citrussy, green hops, dry-hopped. Taste begins with a subdued fruitiness, bit of caramelly malts, gradually becoming more hoppy and ending in a very green, herbal, peppery hop bitterness that sticks for quite a long time. Nice example of its style.

Small yellowish head over stunningly beautiful ruby-copper beer. Smoke, smoked ham, some sweet malts too; tomatofoccacia. Sweetish, smoked, a bit of rosewater and smoked ham. Alcoholsweetness too. Medium bodied, quite slick. Not bad, if a tad on the sweet side.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with a creamy light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of sweet chocolate with a bit of marshmallow, some sweet bourbon and a touch of roasted malts. Flavor has a sweet chocolate and marshmallow combination backed by bourbon and dark grains.

Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2014. 355 ml. can. Spare creamy off-white head, quickly gone. Cloudy orange. Fruity quite bitter citrus hop, citrus, grapefruit, faint grass,… Taste is bitter citrus peel, straw, hay, light pine, allspice, very bitter resin, peel, citrus hop finish, strong bitter citrus, focus is heavily on bitterness. Full bodied. Focus feels very heavily on strongly bitterness with to balance it. Good for what it is but less my preference.
