Bärnstensfärgad halvgrumlig vätska med massivt skum. Sammansatt doft, granbarr, kåda, gräsig och med en antydan av blåbärsbuske. Tvär och bråkig humlebeska, som överröstar allt annat.

Canned, from Systembolaget. Hazy pale amber, rocky head. Aroma of tangerine and grapefruit. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and minerally with overripe apples and excessive carbonation. Extremely bitter, resinous finish. Edgy, aggressive.

Can from Systembolaget. A bit hazy darkorange/amber with a huge head. Sweetish with herbs, caramel, grass and some tangerine. Drinkable but felt a bit tired.

Brown with a frothy, off-white head that fades. Big woodsmoke aroma. Underneath: salami, molasses and a touch of cough medicine. Taste is sweet, full of smoke. Prunes, raisins, again very slight cough medicine. A mild, grainy bitterness carries the finish. Big, sticky body. Chewy. Indeed the body is the one thing I prefer to the Schlenkerla Doppel, which otherwise has a slight edge. Tasty!
