Description

Eine eigene Brauerei musste her.

Ihre Mission: »Brewing Awesomeness.« Ihr Motto: »Craft Beer is not a Crime!«

Client brewer since 2023, own brewery closed.

33cl bottle pours with a hazy copper to gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma has a doughy breadiness that I just can’t get around. Beneath that I get hop notes that take the form of berry hard candy, plum hard candy, jalapeno chili, brown sugary dusted sliced onions, honey sweetened garlic and floral hop notes. This has a very different aroma than I’m used to. The taste begins with a rush of sweet malts, honey covered corn and pine hop resin. Those notes then head right into a different sort of bready doughiness that really isn’t helping the cause here and then an oddly sweet mix of onion and garlic spicy hop notes. The resiny hop bitterness is in conflict with the fruity berry like hard candy notes and this isn’t working too well either. Plenty of hop bitterness but the doughy notes and hard candy sweetness just keep this from coming together. Cool experience though. Glad to have tried it.

Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Dep amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, frothy, light beige head. Aroma of candy, caramel, grass, peach, flowers, citrus. Taste with about the same aromas, the malt notes are even more dominant. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a light carbonation and it finishes bitter/sweet, slightly dry, with caramel, grass and citrus notes. More an English style IPA, with dominant malt notes, but also a moderate American hop charakter. Not bad, quaffable and refreshing.

Thanks to bartlebier. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ ZBF 2014. Darker amber, little tanned head. Thick malty, sugary nose, still a bit thin, touch copper, metals. Taste is a bit thin, touch metallic, sugar, herbal, bitter herbs, brown sugar, malty, herbal. Bit thin for the style, far from there but enjoyable for sure.

Bottle. An almost black one, topped by a finger-thick dark beige head. Lots of molasses in the aroma, dark chocolate, caramel, coffee notes and some licorice. There’s a faint bitterness in the flavor, with dark chocolate, molasses and some caramel. Soy sauce hints. Full body, soft carbonation and a little warmth. Some alcohol in the lasting finish, with lots of flavor. Sure a nice one, but perhaps a bit one-dimensional. 140426
