Description

Thanks Mathieu87. Sampled draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy amber, creamy white head. Huge citrus USA hops nose, creamy malts, fruity,… Taste is creamy malts, faint bread, sweetish fruity citrus hops, blueberry, lemon drops, creamy body. Bitter hop finish, delicious. I wouldn’t call this a Blanche, the hops rule here. Doesn’t really mater, this beer rules.

8/IX/14 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 20/V/15 (2014-973)

Clear dark orange to amber beer, big frothy yellow head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: red lace candy, artificial strawberry aroma, sweet malts, bit sugary, bubble gum, hint of caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty bitter, sourish, grassy, not so fruity as expected from the aroma, some chlorophyll. Aftertaste: very bitter, bit medicinal, watery ending. Solid, but not great.

Sampled from a 0.33l bottle @ Haandfest 2014. This a cloudy golden looking one with a small sidesticking white head. On the nose it's a bit tea like. Hoppy tea with a nice citrus punch. Not hard to identify the sorachi here. Smells like this is a really thin beer, and I would be surprised it it indeed is. Well, I was not mistaking. It's a really thin and light bodied one with a above average carbonation level. Tastes nice. Mouthdrying and a tad astringent perhaps. Lots of sorachi. Tea and hay. Lightdrinkable. Not bad at all. 24.05.2014

On tap @ Haandfest 2014. As good as black in the glass and it has a small grey ish islandy and lacing head. In the nose it's light minerrallish dry roasted. Traces of dry chocolate and cold coffee. A faint licorice trace here as well. It's quite flavorful for being such a little guy. Softly roasted, really minerallish, some dry cocoa. Near flat but some prickling left and it's quite thin in the mouth. Ends quite mouthdrying and almost a little chalky. All in all not a bad one. 24.05.2014

On tap @ Haandfest 2014. This is a slightly cloudy golden/honey looking one with a small but bright white sidesticking top. What is that smell? Brett? I thin it might be just that. Bretted white currants and a citricity. Sour oranges located as well. It's definitely sour yeah, but it goes more in the infected direction I fear. As pungent as you can imagine. Yeah, infected all the way this. Makes my face look funny. Not drinkable in any way. A bit strange as others around the table managed to finish their glass. I did not. 24.05.2014

330 mml bottle tasted on 18/08/2014. Hazy orange colour with a medium to low white head. Aroma is very hoppy and fruity with notes of wood too. Taste of intense hops, malts, bitter and a little spicy. Aftertaste is bitter but no intense. Next one please!
