Bottle shared at craft clerko. Thanks to Colin. Aroma is earthy coffee bean, milky choc, praline and spicy pepper. Dark brown coloured viscous pour with loose halo of tan head. Flavour is milky, stale nutty praline, little choc. Little musty note. Palayr is semi sweet, milky, light tart, moderate carbonation. Interesting.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Pours black with a foamy tan head. The aroma holds some coffee, tangy berries, earth and wood. Medium sweet flavor with hints of rubber, burnt caramel, chocolate, tangy dark fruits. Full bodied, oily, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, a little sticky, with dark malts, old wood, leather. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours near black with a medium tan head. The nose is sweet, milk chocolate, cocoa, sweet coffee, lactose, vanilla and coffee cake. The taste is bitter-sweet, sweet, earthy roast, toast, creamy, wood, light alcohol, coffee cake, toffee and light char with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth, nice balance and rather quaffable. Not a whole lot to it, but rather tasty.

Thanks to JorisPPattyn. 2012 Vintage. Bottle sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Blackish brown, small tanned head. Nose is liquorish, mocha, sweet candy, milk chocolate. Taste is boozy bourbon upfront, bourbon is not as pronounced as usual in USA beers, liquorish, bitter herbs, maple, finish is rather bitter. Liquorish, milk chocolate body. Pretty nice, I am not the biggest fan of liquorish & bitter herbs but I definitely enjoyed this one.

Cream head, fast gone over deep brown beer. Milkchocolate/praliné, tiny bit of wood. Chocolate, quite burnt/roasted. Vanilla comes out in the finish, certainly warming up, but nowhere the classical Bourbon onslaught. Well-bodied, quite slick, real chocolate in the aftertaste, well-carbonated. Nice one, especially in the balance. Many thanks to John H!

Sample during the "Uber-Kurt (10,000) Celebration" on 12/13/2014. This beer pours pitch black with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate fudge, black coffee and charred malt. The finish is chocolatey with a sweet mocha aftertaste. Enjoyable beer all around.

Tap at Dinosaur BBQ in Newark was hoping they would have some Kane on tap. Pours clear orange with fine one finger head. Nose is sticky citrus and other summer fruits. Tastes of oranges, grapefruit, mango, some spicy pepper, hot alcohol, and candy. Fine balance semi thick palate. Pretty damn solid.
