Cask @ Honiman at Hays. Clear golden with small of-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruit and a little hop. Flavour is malt, fruit, caramel, medium sweet, little bread, little dry and a little bitter.

Cask at the Swan (Nicholsons), Hammersmith. Amber with a ring of white head; floral aroma; soft in the mouth with some sitrus, and floral hops; then a thin, biscuity finish. Lacks body and hops.

Bottle from a friend, many thanks. Dark red brown color with small off-white head. Caramel, dark berries, nuts. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, fruity hops. Hoppy bitter sweet finish. Little bit watery, but not so bad.

Cask at the Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a cloudy copper colour with no head. Funky aroma of wet grass and caramel. Flavours were stale and not very pleasant. Might have been toward the end of the barrel, but I’d drunk quite a few sub-parr cask conditioned beers at this year’s festival.

Cask at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is a little subdued, light floral hop notes, citrus, orange. Taste comprises toasted malts, popcorn, orange, grassy, light vanilla, a hint papery. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Ok golden blonde.

Cask(@ Windsor Castle, Kensington):Deep golden, hazy, mid-sized loose but persistent head, relatively sweetish nose of flowery and citrussy hops, toasted malt and a slight touch of cough syrup underneath; moderate dryish dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; not completely dry, but still dryish bitter-sweet flowery to herbal hoppy finish, some juicy malt detectable.
