Description
The organic brewing project of Gert Jordens, official since 2010 but active as a home brewer since 1999. Originally the beers were made at the Proefbrouwerij but production moved to Anders (and sometimes Strubbe) in 2013. One of the very few Belgian brewing companies which produce only organic beers; hops are exclusively sourced from Joris Cambie's organic hop farm in Poperinge. Exports 22% of its production, primarily to the Netherlands.

33cl Bottle from an organic shop. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of grain, sugar cane, some spice, musty. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, grainy, sugar cane, some weird flavour I can’t pinpoint, bittersweet finish. Light bodied. OK.

33cl Bottle from an organic shop, probably a re-branding of their Tafelbier. Hazy light greenish yellow colour, dense white head. Aroma of dusty malts, light grainy, yeast, wheat, light spicy. Flavour is dry, light malty, dust, some saison-like character, different grains, hint of spice, lemon, dry bitter malty finish. Light bodied. Nice, refreshing.

Pale orange beer, white head. Aroma very herbal, dried herbs, meatballs, vegetables, oregano. Light wet dog. Light sweet malty flavour, very herbal again, similar to the aroma. Not my favourite.

15 cl. draft sample @ Bruges Beer Festival 2012: dark brown with a slight red hue & tanned head, smells sweet with caramel malts, nuts & sweet spices, taste is sweet with a dash of milk chocolate & cold chocolate drink mixed with full dark malts, Belgian spices, sweet caramel, dark fruits & hint of fitting booziness in the finish, creamy malt & dash of milk chocolate body, not exactly what I imagined going by the name but quite nice actually

4/II/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Brugs Bierfestival - BB: n/a (2012-81)
Clear light blond beer, big white aery head, bit stable, little adhesive. Aroma: lots of grains, unfermented malts, stable, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: wheaty sourness, come citrus, grains, bit fruity, bitter hops. Aftertaste: still a bit of citrud, bitter hops. Pretty good for a low alcohol, although 3.5% is not that low of course.

Tap @ cafe Grendelpoort. Dark color, short head. Aroma of dark caramel malt, roasted barley, coffee, quite spicy, hint of licorice. Slight sweet in taste, medium bitterness. Licorice and coffee. Usually, xmas spices overwhelm a beer, but together with an almost imperial stout feel to it, the beer was quite ok. --- Beer aliased from original tick of WNTR on 23 Mar 2018 at 21:39 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: Bottle, gift from a friend, BB 22/03/2021. Almost clear copper color, big rocky head. Aroma of spicy belgian yeast and additional spices, caramel, sugary. Spicy bitterness, sweet sugary malt. Actually, quite what I expected from this beer up front. Ok.
