Pours copper with light orange hues in the highlights. Has a thin off-white head. Aroma is citrus hops, malts, a little molasses, and some floral. Has a solid, medium body. Flavor is malty, some hops and a bit of brown sugar. Finishes fairly bitter. Struck me more as a pale ale than amber, but a good brew no matter the style.

Dark brown color. Vanilla, more vanilla, bourbon, caccao all jump out of the nose. Is grandma making some cake? Mouth isn’t that sweet at all, well balanced with big vanilla notes, dark chocolate and cherry coke. Great depth. Caccao and vanilla finish. I was quit shocked at how balanced and how austure the beer was given its name. Very admirable work for an odd beer.

Pours a deep ruby/brown. Aroma is fruits, sweet malts and slight alcohol. Full bodied and properly carbonated. Flavor was of sweet molasses, s touch of roasted malts, hops, and a bit of dark fruits. Finished with some bitterness and a some alcohol warmth. Very tasty.

Hazy deep amber color. Peaches, apples and citrusy notes along with some subtle cookies. Full on hops, hit the mouth ( definetely an American Barley) at the start. Palate is well balanced with some caramel notes. Finishing bitter with notable malt presence as well. Well made

Poured black with a nice tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and a little bit of alcohol in the aroma. Flavor was chocolate and roasted malts with some whiskey hidden underneath. Finish was about as bitter as I’ve ever had in an imperial stout. Body was rich and full. A very well made stout.

Had this on tap first and it totally blew. Then at this year’s Yokohama Ocktoberfest, it was cask conditioned and dry hopped. Night and day. This is only for cask beer. Dark brown color, chocolate brownie nose. Light bodied, sweet chocolatey mouth, moderately strong bitter finish.

A lot of hype around this beer. Didn’t quit live up to all the hype, but still not complaining at all. Pitch black. Little head. Whisky, dark chocolate notes in the nose. Big bitter dark chocolate mouth. I meant really bitter. Some dark fruit and caramel notes as well. Full bodied. Big bitter finish with lots of dark chocolate. Excellent stuff.
