On tap at Craft & Carry UWS, pours a cloudy rusted red with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of dry buckwheat, grainy notes, and a little oak. Flavour is somewhat estery, with toasted grains, and wild yeast. Estery and grainy. A bit messy and uncoordinated. Not so good.

On tap at As Is NYC, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma has tons of diacetyl and spruce tipsthis is definitely fucked. Flavour is more of the same, with dry spruce tips, butter, and dry biscuity malt. Yeah, this is messed up.

Out of production or in production? The 16 oz can I purchased from Half Time gives a canned on date of 3/15/24 just to pass along. There is a snifter in place to catch the pour and I proceed. The body is a lightish caramel-brown completed by a mostly steady head of taupe foam. The nose presents a scent of bread, malt and subdued toffee. The taste is much better. Figs to start with, toast, the toffee again, malt and plums. A decently presented American dubbel. The style is not easy to find, no Double Barrel this time but it is all right.
