Hazy golden colour with a super dense brite white head. Aroma of alcoholic bananas, some curacao and some apples, but pretty much all fruit. Sweetness comes off the top as well, as a result of all those fruits being fermented. Full-bodied; Strong alcoholic taste of bananas, yeast, apples and wheat. Seemingly flat for the gigantic head on the pour. A decent beer, the alcohol is still very noticeable, but the sweetness makes dealing with that burn a bit easier. Regardless, I'd rather have many other belgian strongs than this Unibroue. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 17-December-2003.

Brown color; brownish generous and creamy head. Simple malt and caramel aroma. Ordinary Dubbel body, just some light malt and caramel, quite dry, without character.

Hazy golden color, beautiful creamy head. Malty aroma, spicy; light sweet orange and tangerine; somehow more round than other Unibroue's examples. Unfortunately the body is really poor; dry and lightly tart in the beginning; the final as well is too simple.

Hazy golden coloured body with a super-dense white head. Mild aroma of green apples, coriander seed, curacao, yeast and plentiful malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Bubbly mouthful; Odd anise flavour initially, then fades to apples and white wine. Plentiful sweetness and clean tastes are witnessed throughout the entire lifecycle of this beer. Aftertaste is mild-not overpowering nor offensive. Overall, not the best Witbier in my mind, but actually not the worst Unibroue beers! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 15-December-2003.

Hazy dark amber, light brown coloured body with a thin off-white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of strong apples, cider, brown sugar, nutmeg and some malt. Medium-bodied; Odd taste of salmon, malt, metal, apples, pears, yeast and some wheat. Aftertaste shows a bad slightly offensive characteristic...definately not enjoyable. Overall, this beer is pretty bad, and is understandable that I kept from drinking it for so long! I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 14-December-2003.

Rich hazy amber/light brown colour with a short lived off-white head. Aroma of cider, nutmeg, alcohol, malt and a slight anise hint. Full-bodied; Super carbonated mouthful; Sweet raisin and plum flavour initially masked by an alcoholic kick and a bitter yeastie twang. Aftertaste shows some spice, but mostly alcohol. A decent beer altogether, but not as good (in my opinion) as it is made out to be. I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 13-December-2003.

Super hazy golden coloured body with strong orange highlights and a large, soapy dense off-white head. Aroma of coriander seed, lemons, curacao, yeast and some pepper. Medium to Full-bodied; Initial spicey character with the pepper and coriander seed showing through, followed by a bit of a sweetness and capped off by a dry bitter finish. Aftertaste has some of the pepper and a slight amount of yeast, but fairly different in complexities than their other tripels. Overall, a decent beer, but not impressive to me, and it took me very long to sample it, because the brewer and similarities among product lines don't thrill me. Not really worth buying, unless you can't find any 'decent' american produced tripels (try Allagash, Victory, Weyerbacher, etc). I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 12-December-2003.

Darkish wheat beer with a whispy head. Hardly any aroma, and relatively weak citric flavour. A very average beer.

Muddy looking Belgian style beer, with a typical strong Belgian beer aroma. Slightly sweet flavour with an alcohol kick. Overall a reasonable beer.

The aroma is very sweet with strong notes of peach, oranges, and yeast. The color is a hazy orange and it has a huge but fast disappering head. The flavor is extremely sweet - too sweet for my taste. With strong notes of peaches, apples, oranges, alcohol, and corriander. It ends on a combination of lemon and corriander with the sweetness lingering. An OK beer, but a bit too much alcohol and a little too sweet. The flavors though are magnificent. Thanks to Alex (Fiulijn) for trading this with me.
