I’m not so impressed with this beer. It’s very bitter, and it’s cloying and a bit astringent. Online belgian beer factory (nov 2029 3.2) Drank again at cafe barrazza ghent. Much cleaner, still a more bittered modern version.

330ml bottle, thanks to JefVerstraete. Pours dark / black, small tan head. Aroma is coffee, liquorice, bitter dark chocolate. Smooth on the palate, rich bitter dark chocolate, roasted malt, not too much maple syrup jumping out, light milky nods, some cigar and leathery moments. Enjoyable stout.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of sweet maple, hazelnut, malt, sugar and caramel. Taste has sweet sugary maple, caramel, hazelnut, malt, lactose and chocolate. Very sweet and a bit too sugary.

Bottle, thanks Tim. Nice. Easy drinking, initial grassy hoppiness. Taste is good, initial citrus and blonde kind of taste but there's some smoke too. Interesting.
