Description
Oakham Ales is a multi-award winning brewery with a worldwide reputation for its innovative approach and for the quality and consistency of its brews. Oakham started brewing in Rutland back in 1993 and is now based in Peterborough (Cambridgeshire).

Famous as the first brewery in the UK to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops, Oakham celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2018 and we’re looking forward to many more exciting years of brewing.

Cask at the Peterborough beer festival 2024. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of khaki head. Black makts, liquorice, sap, pine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, sticky black malts, liquorice, resin. Palate is semi sweet rounded, good cask condition.

Cask at the Peterborough beer festival 2024. A Hazed brushed golden orange coloured pour with a a fine white head. Aroma is flaked wheat, soapy, orange. Grass, dishcloth. Flavour is composed dirty grassy hop, flaked wheat, bark, woody orange.. Firm bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, flaked grains, mellow cask condition.

Tried from the breweries bar at the Peterborough Beer Festival 2024. Off black colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are lihhh crisp malty and chocolate. Medium body.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy, lemon, and sweet malts. A moderately sweet taste, sweet pale malt, lemony, light grass, and a moderately to light citrusy bitterness.

Gravity pour at the 1st Annual Beer Festival of the Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse, 20th July 2024. Clean golden body, white crown. Nice easy going Bitter with a citrus leaning throughout.

12/7/2024. Cask at the 33rd Ealing Beer Festival. Pours clear very pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, grapefruit, tropical fruits, gooseberry, passionfruit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Decent.
