Oakham Ales is a multi-award winning brewery with a worldwide reputation for its innovative approach and for the quality and consistency of its brews. Oakham started brewing in Rutland back in 1993 and is now based in Peterborough (Cambridgeshire).
Famous as the first brewery in the UK to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops, Oakham celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2018 and we’re looking forward to many more exciting years of brewing.

Cask at the Kings Head, Bristol on 13th May 2026. Slightly hazy pale gold with shallow whitish foam and full lacing. Mildly pungent aroma. Tangy citrus fruits and a few spicy notes in-mouth. Tends to a dry finish with light grasses and spices. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel.

Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 9th May 2026. Hazy amber with shallow white foam and spot lacing. Pungent aroma. Bitter in-mouth and through finish with leafy and grassy hops. Smooth mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at Ryrie's. Pours clear dark red-brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of coffee and wood-spice. Taste is dark caramel, dry roast coffee, light wood and vanilla. Dry finish.

Cask at the Shakespeare head holburn, waiting for Caelan's surgery ❤️. A clear golden coloured pour with a fine loose white head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty malts, apple, vanilla, waxy wood. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered malts, nutty earthy grains, semi sweet English yeast esters jammy berries, wood tannin. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, fine cask condition.

Cask handpull at The New Inn Canterbury. Clear amber colour lasting off white head. Some malt sweetness. A little toffee. Then its hoppy. Some citrus flavours. Some stone fruit. I am here for a session and would happily drink this all afternoon. Good. Moderate bitterness on the finish
