Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Biscuity malt and bittering hop with citrus, some stone fruit. Fairly bitter taste with a light sweetness, finishes a bit dry. Light body. Pretty drinkable despite the light body, fruity and bitter.

Sampled from the cask at The Mossy Well. Pours a clear golden orange with a white head. Aroma of bitter orange marmalade and malts. Taste is dominated by a bitter orange flavour with notes of grass and bitter herbs. Not really a lager or a festbier. More like an IPA with New World hops. It has a long, bitter, fruity finish. Quite drinkable actually.

Cask at The Stump, Sedgley. Clear copper gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has herbs and sweeter citrus. Underlying malts. Flavourwise it has tangy hops amd herbs. Develops some fruity sweetness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable enough old school stuff.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#24. Darker clear amber with a glow though. Sweetish red ale with a very low bitter finish. It gets sweetest in its aroma, some density to its mildly sticky-sweet texture.

Hand pulled half pint in my local Spoons on 10th March 2026. Nice red hue to the brown body, off white crown sat on top. Subtle but noticeable Rye maltiness throughout, light fruit flavours from the hops.
